Welcome to another quick and easy tutorial from OfficeLogixShop!
In this guide, we’ll show you how to properly secure the seat fabric and hooks on your Herman Miller Embody chair. Whether you're replacing worn-out hooks or reattaching the seat fabric, this simple process will have your chair back in top shape in no time.
Tools Needed:
Replacement seat hooks (if applicable)
Securement strap (if replacing)
Steps to Secure the Seat Fabric and Hooks:
Step 1: Position the Hooks
If you are replacing or reattaching the hooks:
- Locate the seat support bar under the fabric.
- Pull the bar out just enough to create a gap for the hooks.
- Insert the first hook into the designated slot on the fabric and slide the bar into it.
- Insert the second hook and slide the bar back into it as well.
- Slide the bar fully until it reaches the other end.
Step 2: Attach the Securement Strap (If Needed)
If the securement strap needs replacing:
- Flip the chair.
- Unhook the old strap from the seat frame by pulling it upward.
- Hook the new strap onto the designated attachment points.
- Click the strap into the big plastic part.
- Slide the cavity of this plastic piece into the shaft until you hear it click securely into place.
- Repeat the process for the other side.
Final Check:
- Ensure that the hooks are firmly attached and aligned properly with the seat frame.
- Pull on the fabric slightly to check that it remains taut and does not shift.
- Flip the chair back to its upright position and test for comfort and stability.
And that's it! Your Herman Miller Embody chair should now be securely assembled and ready to use.
