Steelcase Leap V2 Headrest Adjustment Guide

This guide will walk you through the proper adjustment of your new Leap V2 headrest to enhance your seating experience with this ergonomic addition.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Your installed Leap V2 Headrest by OfficeLogixShop

ADJUSTMENT STEPS

1. Initial Setup:

While standing behind the headrest, tighten both sets of knobs to the highest level possible. These knobs prevent the headrest from flopping around but are not made to lock the headrest permanently, allowing for easy adjustments while seated.

2. Adjusting the Height:

Before sitting down, adjust the height to what you perceive as the best height possible. Don't worry if you don't get it perfectly right; once you sit in the chair, you can fine-tune it for optimal comfort.

3. Fine-Tuning While Seated:

  • Angle Adjustment: To adjust the angle of the headrest, use the second set of knobs. These control the pivot angle exclusively, without affecting the height.
  • Height Adjustment: To adjust the height exclusively, push up on the rails to your desired position, whether it's the highest, lowest, or somewhere in between.

4. Combined Adjustments:

For adjusting both the angle and height simultaneously, use the first set of knobs. These will control the angle, the Y-axis, and provide some X-axis motion. Push back against the headrest to ensure it’s in the proper position for you.

Changing the Headrest Insert:

The Leap V2 Headrest features an interchangeable headrest insert. To change it:

  • Access the key lock and twist it from the vertical to the horizontal position to remove it.
  • Push up and away from the headrest to release the insert hooks.
  • Align your new or cleaned insert with the side holes and middle hole.
  • Push down and listen for the clicks to confirm proper installation.
  • Insert the key lock again in the vertical position and twist it to the horizontal to secure the headrest insert.
